Water sealing
Generous axial movement

Sealing ring, drill hole sealing

W804

Used for new installations on pipes with outer diameter >110mm, to prevent leakage between concrete and pipe casing. Allows large axial movement of the pipe.
W804

Strong, smart and safe repair seal

  • Tested by the German District Heating Institute and Studsvik Energiteknik - tightness against liquids with sand admixture, up to 0.74 bar (0.1 bar at ± 100 mm axial movement)
  • EPDM rubber - hose clamp in stainless steel AISI 304 - clamping claws in hot-dip galvanized steel
  • Self-lubricating - to minimize friction between the jacket and sealing
  • Complies with standard EN 681-1 Sealing rings - Material requirements for sealing rings for water and drainage applications
  • For pipes with Dy 110 mm and up - special sizes are manufactured in Borås

Examples of uses

  • District heating pipes
  • District cooling pipelines
  • Stormwater system
  • Industrial wiring

  1. drill a hole in the concrete wall (see recommended hole diameters below), carefully to avoid flaking. Clean the area thoroughly for approx. 50 mm around the drilled hole. The concrete should be smooth and even and the hole should be free of rough edges. The pipe should also be clean where the seal is to be fitted.

    Recommended diameter for drilled holes:
    ‍Outer diameter
    of pipe + 10 mm.

    ‍Maximumdiameter for drilled holes:
    ‍Outer diameter of
    pipe + 20 mm.
  2. Fill the grease groove with the supplied lubricant. Then apply the sealant to the side of the ring facing the wall. Then install the seal on the pipe.
  3. Center the pipe in the drilled hole. Press the rubber ring against the concrete wall and install the hose clamp. Tighten all hose clamps slightly so that good contact is achieved between the pipe and the rubber ring around the entire circumference of the pipe. drill holes in the wall for the expansion bolts. Use a clamping dog as a jig.
  4. Place the end clamps max. 50 mm from the end of the clamping rings. Place the remaining clamp hooks evenly around the pipe.
  5. Fit the clamping rings and clamping hooks. If necessary, adjust the clamp ring so that it has good contact with the rubber ring. Press the clamping ring behind the screw holder on the hose clamp. Tighten the clamps so that the seal is pressed against the wall and makes the unit watertight. The correct clamping force is achieved exactly when the clamping piston rises. Adjust and tighten the hose clamp. Make further adjustments to the clamp hooks and hose clamps if necessary.

Frequently asked questions about sealings

It is important to note that the sealings are not intended to act as supports. The pipes must be supported on both sides of the seal.

W801, W803 and W804 are all tested for generous axial movements.

Many of our sealings protect against both radon and water. You can see from the labels on the products which ones protect against what.

Here is a link to all the data sheets we have: Data sheets

We have sealings in stock with a diameter of up to 1000 mm. We have the ability to build custom sealings and have supplied sealings up to 2000 mm diameter, but there are no limits to how large sealings we can make.

It is possible to install W802 on corrugated pipes provided that it lies on one or more of the tops of the pipe. Should there be very wide gaps on large pipes, it may be necessary to seal the gap in the corrugation before installing the seal.

W802 is included in the House Product Portal and is therefore approved for Nordic Swan Ecolabel projects. These types of sealings cannot be Nordic Swan Ecolabeled and this also applies to competitors' products. But if they are included in the House Product Portal, it works.

W801, W802, Link Seal, Compact and Nofirno are all approved radon sealings.
