Assembly instructions

  1. For sealing penetrations in floors, a sleeve is fitted on the underside or top of the floor. For sealing walls, cuffs are fitted on both sides of the wall.
  2. Prior to installation, any gaps between the wall and pipe must be sealed with PFP Acrylic Sealant. In plaster, brick and concrete wall, where the gap is less than 8mm, it is sealed with a bead of PFP sealant. In plaster wall if the gap is greater than 8mm, it must be filled with 25mm thick PFP joint into the wall. In brick and concrete wall where the gap is greater than 8 mm, it is first sealed with 20 mm drive strip of mineral wool 20 mm into the wall, then the remaining gap is filled with 20 mm deep PFP joint. In floors, gaps less than 10 mm must be filled with PFP FRAkrylfog 20 mm mineral wool drive strip. Where the gap between the floor and the pipe is greater than 10 mm, first seal with 40 mm mineral wool drive strip 10 mm into the structure, and then with 10 mm PFP joint. When the gap is over 30 mm, we recommend using PFP Board for filling. See separate product sheet.
  3. Wrap the sleeve around the pipe or cable bundle and ensure that it is flush with the wall or floor so that it can be screwed tightly to the structure.
  4. If the wall surface is uneven, fill in with PFP Acrylic Sealant between the cuff and the wall or floor.
  5. Use steel screws for installation. Drywall or concrete anchors can be used if necessary. For drywall, use minimum Ø4 mm steel screw with length suitable for the number of boards the wall is made of. Alternatively, use M5 drywall anchors for single or double drywall. If concrete anchors/expander bolts are used, the length should be at least 40 mm.
  6. In situations where the penetration hole is larger than the plastic pipe, and/or the pipe enters the structure at an angle, an oversized collar can be used. PFP Pipe closer is tested to seal even when the diameter of the pipe is smaller than the inner diameter of the collar. Note that the gap between the pipe and the structure must never be larger than 55 mm!

Frequently asked questions about sealings

It is important to note that the sealings are not intended to act as supports. The pipes must be supported on both sides of the seal.

W801, W803 and W804 are all tested for generous axial movements.

Many of our sealings protect against both radon and water. You can see from the labels on the products which ones protect against what.

Here is a link to all the data sheets we have: Data sheets

We have sealings in stock with a diameter of up to 1000 mm. We have the ability to build custom sealings and have supplied sealings up to 2000 mm diameter, but there are no limits to how large sealings we can make.

Call or email us to discuss your sealings needs in more detail. 033-10 04 40 or info@skelda.se

It is possible to install W802 on corrugated pipes provided that it lies on one or more of the tops of the pipe. Should there be very wide gaps on large pipes, it may be necessary to seal the gap in the corrugation before installing the seal.

W802 is included in the House Product Portal and is therefore approved for Nordic Swan Ecolabel projects. These types of sealings cannot be Nordic Swan Ecolabeled and this also applies to competitors' products. But if they are included in the House Product Portal, it works.

W801, W802, Link Seal, Compact and Nofirno are all approved radon sealings.
